Matt, I am glad to hear that the Medical school provided you the opportunity to talk to the students so they can hopefully develop a little empathy for what the families of the patients are going through. This is especially true of patients with brain injuries, because as we all found out, there is so much they don’t know about how those patients will progress. I think it’s a great reminder to the future Doctors to “think beyond the science….” As I recall, the Doctors that you really connected with were able to treat Mary like a person, not a case.
